My name is Rowena Keaveny and I am a professionally qualified art therapist based in Offaly, Ireland. I hold a First Class Honours MA in Art Therapy from Crawford College of Art & Design. I am also a Certified Cyber Therapist and offer an online service. I draw on a diverse range of theoretical models in order to address and meet each clients individual needs.

What is Art Therapy?

Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses art making and other forms of creativity within a therapeutic relationship in order to explore, illness, trauma, unexplored/unresolved issues or life impacting challenges resulting in significantly improved mental health & day to day functioning. As art therapy focuses on images and image making it facilitates a different way to explore issues, emotions, experiences or behaviours that may have been unresolved, buried, ignored or felt to overwhelming to face.

Who is it for?

Art Therapy can be experienced by anyone regardless of age and it does not require any previous experience of art making. Art Therapy benefits people experiencing a wide range of life experiences and issues from feeling that something isn’t ok to:
